LiteScrub: Privacy Policy & End-User License Agreement (EULA)

Last Updated: January 19, 2026

This combined document constitutes a legal agreement between you and the LiteScrub development team. It governs your use of the LiteScrub application and details our rigorous standards for data protection and user privacy.

PART 1: PRIVACY POLICY

LiteScrub is engineered to provide efficient device optimization through a "Local-First" technical architecture. Our primary objective is to facilitate system cleaning without ever compromising the confidentiality of your file system.

Core Functionality and Local Processing

LiteScrub provides a singular utility: scanning for obsolete APK files, residual data, and temporary system files.

Storage Access: To perform these scans, the Application requires permission to access your device’s storage.

On-Device Execution: All file analysis and metadata processing are conducted locally on your device. We do not transmit the names, contents, or structures of your files to external servers. Your storage remains an isolated environment.

Third-Party Integration and Technical Telemetry

To maintain application stability and optimize our growth strategies, we utilize limited third-party services. These entities process only pseudonymized technical metadata, not your personal files.

Firebase (Google): Utilized for crash diagnostics and performance monitoring. In the event of a software error, a technical log is generated to help us maintain a stable user experience.

Attribution and Analytics (e.g., Adjust, AppsFlyer): These platforms measure marketing effectiveness by identifying the source of an installation. They may process device-specific technical identifiers, such as your Advertising ID (GAID or IDFA).

Data Restriction: These partners are contractually prohibited from accessing your file system or correlating technical data with your real-world identity.

Legal Basis for Information Handling

We process information under the following legal foundations:

Contractual Necessity: Local processing of your file metadata is required to deliver the specific cleaning services you have requested.

Legitimate Interests: We process non-sensitive technical telemetry to secure our application, troubleshoot bugs, and evaluate our commercial visibility.

Your Data Protection Rights

We acknowledge your absolute sovereignty over your digital information. You are entitled to the following rights:

Right of Access: You have the right to request a disclosure of any data we or our partners process regarding your device interaction.

Right to Rectification: You may request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete technical data we possess.

Right to Know (Sharing & Selling): You have the right to be informed about the distribution of your data. LiteScrub does not sell your personal data. Sharing is strictly limited to the technical service providers mentioned in Section 2 for operational purposes.

Right to Erasure (Deletion): You have the right to request the deletion of your data. Uninstalling the app immediately destroys all local scan history. For technical logs held by partners, you may contact our DPO.

Right to Lodge a Complaint: You are entitled to contact a regulatory authority or data protection supervisor if you believe our data handling practices violate your privacy rights.

Retention and Circumstances

Local Operational Data: Scan results are transient and exist only within your device's active memory during a session. They are purged once the cleaning process is completed or the app is closed.

Technical Telemetry: Data held by third-party analytics partners is retained for the minimum period necessary for aggregate performance analysis—typically between 12 and 24 months—before being permanently anonymized or deleted.

Choice and Opt-Out Mechanisms

You have the autonomy to restrict the sharing of technical identifiers:

System Controls: You can prevent the sharing of advertising IDs by enabling "Limit Ad Tracking" (iOS) or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" (Android) within your system settings.

Permission Revocation: You may revoke file access permissions at any time through your device settings, which will immediately disable all scanning capabilities.

Data Protection Officer (DPO)

We have appointed a Data Protection Officer to oversee our privacy compliance and address user inquiries.

DPO Name: Sebastian Vane

Usage Restrictions

By utilizing LiteScrub, you agree not to:

Disclaimer of Warranty

LiteScrub is provided "AS IS." While we strive for absolute precision, we do not warrant that the application will be error-free or that it will identify every piece of redundant data. You are responsible for reviewing files flagged for removal before confirming deletion.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LiteScrub and its creators shall not be held liable for any data loss, performance degradation, or indirect damages resulting from the use or misuse of the application.

Termination

This agreement is effective until terminated. You may terminate it by deleting the Application. We reserve the right to revoke your license immediately if you violate any terms of this EULA.
